Growing up I have always felt a special connection with animals. As I ventured into the world on my own, I made the decision to adopt a sweet little Pug named Sophia from the local animal shelter. She and I were inseparable, she taught me that a house does not feel like home without a pet. During this time, I began working as a Veterinary Technician, while also attending Santa Fe College, pursuing a degree in Biology. After Sophia passed I rescued three Pugs from homes that were unable to care for them. Pugsley, Otis and Tater were quite a handful, let me tell you. Their sweet bulgy eyes and little snorts always made me smile. I truly believe that animals are a gift from God and each of them finds a unique way to bless and inspire our lives.
Working as a Veterinary Technician over the past 12 years I have had the privilege of helping animals both wild and domestic. Whether I was rehabbing exotic birds, rescuing baby squirrels, or in the exam room caring for a dog or cat, I have always strived to treat each animal with the love and respect that they all deserve. Our pets are part of our family and they are always there to give their love unconditionally.
Having the opportunity to work closely with several rescues over the past few years has solidified my belief that with an open heart we can make a difference in an animal’s life.
Thank you for taking the time to read this note. My life’s journey is what inspired me to start Yelp for Help. Your peace of mind and your pets’ well-being are important to me and will always be our top priority, and our promise to you is to love them like we love our own.
